Issue Brief: Auditing Your Town’s Development Code for Barriers to Sustainable Water Management

This issue brief informs local officials about how development regulations in their community affect local water resources.  Municipal development codes control the built environment and can have a great influence on ways in which water is transported, collected or absorbed. A four step process is suggested for auditing municipal codes to achieve greater water sustainability.
